GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

Article 1 / Length of Stay
A guest who books accommodation with the owner for a specified period may under no circumstances claim any right to remain in the premises beyond the agreed period.

Article 2 – Booking Procedures

Upon receipt of a reservation made by the guest via the owner's website: **http://www.lamaisonduffour-tonneins.fr**, the guest will receive a booking confirmation by email.

The owner invites the guest to verify the details of the reservation, including:

* Their contact information, particularly their email address and mobile phone number, so they can be reached before and during their stay.
* Any comments provided and, if the booking is a gift, the full contact details of the beneficiaries, so that the owner may issue a gift voucher if requested.
* The reserved room, the number of guests, the arrival date, the departure date, the number of nights, the number of breakfasts, and the total booking price. All prices are inclusive of VAT. A tourist tax of **€0.86 per person per night** will be charged in addition.

If the reservation details are correct, the guest is invited to pay, via our website by credit card, a deposit equal to **30% of the total booking amount** within **2 days**.

Once the deposit has been received, the reservation becomes confirmed and binding. If you wish to pay the deposit by bank transfer, we will inform you of the amount due according to the applicable cancellation policy. If the booking is made less than **14 days before the arrival date**, full payment will be required.

By paying the deposit, the guest confirms their full acceptance of the Terms and Conditions set out below.

If the deposit is not received within the specified period, the reservation will not be confirmed. Consequently, after the 2-day period has expired, the owner reserves the right to make the room(s) available for booking by other guests.

Article 3 / Room Rates
The rates displayed are per room, per night, including breakfast and excluding tourist tax.
Rates vary depending on whether the room is occupied by one, two or more guests.
Rates do not include any additional services or commissions charged by booking platforms.
Article 4 / Changes to the Stay by the Guest in the Case of a Booking with Flexible Cancellation Conditions
Any change to a booking, including a change of date or room, is subject to the owner's approval and may result in additional charges. Changes are subject to availability at the time the change is requested.
The guest is informed of the specific cancellation conditions applicable before the start of the stay:
In the event of an early departure during the stay, the full amount of the booked service remains payable.
In the case of a booking made under non-refundable conditions, no refund will be provided if the guest decides to cancel the booking.
 Article 5 / No-Show
In the event of a no-show, the total amount of the booking will be charged.
 Article 6 / Cancellation Insurance
The owner draws the guest's attention to the fact that cancellation insurance is not included in the rates. Guests are therefore strongly advised to take out cancellation insurance.
Article 7 / Cancellation of the Stay
1) Cancellation by the Owner**

If, before the beginning of the stay, the owner is required to cancel the booking, the guest will be informed immediately by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt.
The guest will then be refunded immediately and in full for all amounts paid.
2) Cancellation by the Guest**
 **Between 30 and 22 days before arrival:** the deposit paid will be retained and 30% of the total booking amount will be due.
**Between 21 and 15 days before arrival:** the deposit paid will be retained and 50% of the total booking amount will be due.
**Between 14 and 0 days before arrival:** the deposit paid will be retained and 100% of the total booking amount will be due.
Article 8 / Arrival Time
The guest must arrive on the date specified in the booking, no earlier than **4:30 p.m.** (the time from which rooms are available and keys can be handed over) and no later than **8:00 p.m.**
The guest must notify the owner by telephone if, due to unforeseen circumstances, they are obliged to arrive after this time.

Upon your arrival, we will provide you with the entrance door code and a key to your room.

The entrance door code is strictly reserved for registered guests staying at the guest house. For security reasons and to ensure the comfort and privacy of everyone, please do not share it with anyone who is not staying at the property, even on an exceptional basis.

If you are expecting visitors or have a special request, please let us know so that we can find the most appropriate solution.
 Article 9 / Breakfast
The overnight rate includes a traditional breakfast consisting of a hot beverage, fruit juice, fresh bread, butter, homemade jam, fresh fruit and yoghurt.
Breakfast is served:
**Every day of the week from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the latest.**
After this time, breakfast will no longer be served. Please note that it is not possible to serve or consume breakfast in the rooms.
Article 10 / Departure Time
Guests must vacate their rooms:
**Monday to Sunday by 10:00 a.m. at the latest.**
Any departure after this time will be subject to a charge equivalent to one additional night.
 Article 11 / Payment of the Remaining Balance
The balance of the stay must be paid on the day of arrival, by the guest, by credit card, holiday vouchers or cash.
An invoice will be provided to the guest upon departure (in paper format or by email upon request), detailing the services provided, the accommodation amount, any additional services, the tourist tax and the VAT applied.
Article 12 / Change of Room
For service or safety reasons, the owner may need to change the room initially booked by the guest. In such circumstances, the replacement room will always have the same capacity and offer the same level of service.
In such cases, the booking price will be adjusted accordingly.
Article 13 / Pets
Pets are not permitted.
Article 14 / House Rules and Use of the Premises
In order to preserve the tranquillity of the premises and the comfort of all guests, everyone is expected to respect certain house rules and the standards of behaviour required when living in a shared environment.
**SMOKING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED** inside the rooms and common areas. Where possible, smokers are requested to move away from open doors and windows so as not to inconvenience other occupants.
Guests must move quietly through the rooms and stairwells. Parties are strictly prohibited in our establishment.
For safety reasons, the following are strictly prohibited on the premises:
* naked flames such as matches, candles, sparklers, etc.;
* open-flame lighting devices, candelabras, candles, light fittings, etc.
It is prohibited to charge bicycle batteries in the rooms.
We recommend that you do not leave electrical appliances, chargers or power strips plugged in when they are not in use, and that you use the air conditioning or heating responsibly (please refer to the notice in your room).
As the rooms have been decorated and furnished with great care and passion by the owner, guests are asked to respect all items provided. Any missing item that has not been reported will subsequently be charged to the guest at its replacement value.
Guests are reminded that minors present on the property remain under the sole and full responsibility of their parents or the persons legally responsible for them.
For hygiene reasons, eating is prohibited in the rooms.
The guest undertakes to return the rooms in perfect condition at the end of the stay and to report immediately—and accept financial responsibility for—any damage for which they are responsible.
The jacuzzi is available to guests from **May to September**, depending on weather conditions, for a maximum of **5 people**, until **10:00 p.m.** at the latest. It cannot be reserved.
Children under the age of 16 may only access the jacuzzi when accompanied by their parents. Minors remain under the responsibility of their parents at all times.
Internet and Free Wi-Fi Policy
**Information regarding Internet access and illegal downloading:**
""Internet browsing is carried out solely at the user's own responsibility. It is prohibited to access websites or Internet pages containing prohibited content, such as pornography, child sexual abuse material, racism or incitement to violence. Likewise, copying works protected by copyright is prohibited. All Internet activities are recorded and may be checked in the event of suspected abuse.""
Article 15 / Amendments to the Terms and Conditions of Sale
These terms and conditions of sale may be amended at any time and without prior notice.
Acceptance and compliance with these terms and conditions shall be deemed to have been given as soon as the deposit has been paid.
 Article 16 / Data Protection and Privacy
In accordance with French Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to data processing, files and freedoms, the guest has the right to access and correct personal data concerning them.
The owner undertakes never to disclose the information provided by the guest to other companies or organisations for advertising purposes.
Article 17 / Article L.616-1 of the French Consumer Code – Consumer Disputes
After contacting the management of **SARL LA MAISON DUFFOUR**, and in the absence of a satisfactory response within one month, the guest may refer the matter to the **Tourism and Travel Ombudsman (Médiateur du Tourisme et du Voyage)**, whose contact details are provided below:
